That\u2019s because there\u2019s no other modern-day car that looks remotely close to this model. Sadly, even at that time, this wedgy-shaped car would blow a hole through your finances. While this was modeled as a concept car, it was later sold at an auction for $844,291. Only the most affluent and those that prefer wedge designs would have ended up with one of these in their garage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"733\" height=\"393\" src=\"http:\/\/65.1.85.58\/newsroom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/maserati-1.jpg\" alt=\"Maserati Boomerang\" class=\"wp-image-12291\" srcset=\"https:\/\/carswitch.com\/newsroom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/maserati-1.jpg 733w, https:\/\/carswitch.com\/newsroom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/maserati-1-300x161.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 733px) 100vw, 733px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Maserati Boomerang<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Giorgetto Giugiaro, the Italian automobile designer was behind this marvelous vehicle and his ambitions are as crazy as the final product. Back in the 70\u2019s the Maserati Boomerang was intended to be made just for a showpiece. However, considering its enticing shape and the fact that it connected with the people because of its unorthodox look, it finally obtained a license to be driven on the roads. It was first shown at the 1971 Turin Auto Show. It definitely looks like it can hover in mid-air, making it aesthetically, one of the most impressive-looking cars of its era. Unfortunately, it was never meant to be driven, but fortunately, it was bought in 2014 by Jim Glickenhaus who pledged to bring it to life. He did so and got it legalised to drive on some of the <a href=\"http:\/\/65.1.85.58\/newsroom\/8-roads-travel-used-car-dubai\/\">best roads for car enthusiasts<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"733\" height=\"393\" src=\"http:\/\/65.1.85.58\/newsroom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/countach-1.jpg\" alt=\"Lamborghini Countach cars for sale in Dubai\" class=\"wp-image-12296\" srcset=\"https:\/\/carswitch.com\/newsroom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/countach-1.jpg 733w, https:\/\/carswitch.com\/newsroom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/countach-1-300x161.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 733px) 100vw, 733px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Lamborghini Countach<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>If you appreciate the wedge design, you\u2019ll definitely want to check out the Lamborghini Countach. It is based on the Italian Wedge design language made by an Italian design house, Bertone. Featuring sharp edges and an extremely low profile, the Lamborghini Countach certainly looks like it could be the center of attention for countless hours. One of these even fetched $1.2 million at an auction. Even though production was limited to around 15 to 25 units, it still showed that Aston Martin was daring enough to proceed with the project. Unfortunately, the company\u2019s ambitions proved too much, as the project was too costly to complete. Only a single prototype was made in 1979, but it\u2019s still impressive that Aston Martin came this far. Aston Martin also had planned to make this model the world\u2019s fastest car, but as informed above, things didn\u2019t go according to plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This shape might not be very common among <a href=\"https:\/\/carswitch.com\/dubai\/used-car\/sell\">cars for sale in Dubai<\/a> now but with the Tesla Cybertruck coming out, we might be seeing wedgy designs again.
