While choosing between gas-powered and electric-powered trucks, the Tremor Off-Road Package is a good reason to stick to the gas-fueled ones. This special off-road package will be available with XLT, Lariat, King Ranch and Platinum trims of the F-250 and F-350 Super Duty trucks. Not just that, it will come with an exciting new 7.3L V8 powertrain as well as a 6.7L Diesel engine. Both of these monsters will be paired with a 10-speed automatic heavy duty transmission.
The Tremor Off-road Package includess massive 35-inch Goodyear Wrangler Duratec all-terrain tires along with 18-inch matte black wheels. Ford claims that these are the largest tires ever for a heavy-duty pickup.
Moreover, it comes with a 2-inch lift to the front as well as a shorter air dam. Due to the shorter dam, it will offer 10.8 inches of ground clearance and 33 inches of water wading capacity. It has an approach angle of 31.65 degrees and departure angles of 24.52 degrees. Furthermore, it is equipped with twin-tube dampers of 1.7 inches which work alongside progressive rate springs to control this heavy duty ride.
It also has automatically locking rear differential and limited-slip front differentials. Additionally, the tremor package will include other spot on off-road equipment such as FX4 skid plates, extended axle vent tubes and running boards. The payload and towing capacity figures are still under wraps but we’re sure they will be nothing short of impressive.
The most exciting feature of the Tremor Package is the rock crawl mode to operate in a 4×4 low. Along with that, it also has the Trail Control system which made its debut in the latest 2019 Ford Raptor. This system acts like cruise control for off-roading.
