Worried about getting stuck in traffic in your used car Dubai during the Eid-ul-Azha holidays? Well, you can relax! Dubai Police in collaboration with the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has devised a plan to tackle this issue. CarSwitch.com gives you this latest update.
As per an announcement made on August 6th, 2019, the RTA and Dubai police have an extensive plan to ensure smooth flow of traffic over the Eid holidays. Moreover, it aims to boost the safety and security of drivers in Dubai. There are also other ways to avoid traffic congestion but they might not be as effective over the holidays.
This plan covers all main areas in Dubai, including major and internal roads such as the Airport Street, tourist spots as well as malls. As a heavy traffic flow is expected, traffic and road security patrols will play a major role in easing traffic flow to avoid any potential traffic complications.
As per the plan, traffic will be diverted in different directions from the Burj Khalifa district to either Oud Metha Street, Happiness Street or the inner streets of the Business Bay. They will also monitor and control traffic signals on the Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard and the Financial Centre Street in order to allow free flow of traffic at peak hours.
The CEO of traffic and roads agency and head of the team responsible for traffic movement and handling of operational plans during annual events, Engineer Maitha Bin Adai stated:
“The RTA has chartered the required traffic and operational plans of mass transit means to meet the rising needs of the public, and road users during the holiday period. The aim of the plan is to enable the public to safely use public or private transit means during Eid days, which is usually a busy period.”
This strategy to control heavy flow of traffic is great news for those travelling in their used car Dubai over the holidays. For more updates, stay tuned to CarSwitch.com. Happy holidays!
