The 2021 McLaren GT is truly a car for drivers. It can plow through long motorway hauls, average speed limits and late night drives. If you want to sell McLaren cars in Dubai, CarSwitch is the best place.

Engine

McLaren GT is powered by a 4 liter turbocharged V8 engine located in the middle with a twin clutch transmission and a 2 seat carbon fiber tub. With a weight of only 1,530 kg, it offers a power output of 620 bhp.

While the power delivery is excellent, the engine is less tall. But it also creates space for an unbelievably big boot underneath the tailgate, with room to store two sets of skis. There is another boot in the front for lesser equipment.

Drive quality

Softer front springs and strong anti-roll bar tuning creates ideal suspension. The steering hydraulic, ground clearance and adaptive damping are expressive of McLaren fashion. It’s tires work amazingly well in rain and the motorway manners are commendable.

The turns and ride of this mid-engine supercar are beyond impressive, especially in the softer damper setting. It’s so agile that it turns flat through corners. The steering is almost as good as a powered system and the turning angle grows considerably. You can be aware of all changes, bumps and dips in grip due to the transparent wheel rim.

If you love driving, McLaren GT will do an incredible job. The vehicle holds itself in a great balance and distributes work among the four tires. It does not vibrate or crash on the corrugations. The cushioning is even better than most saloons. Not much noise is emitted from the tires and it analyzes the road while guiding you.

Even though the vehicle is too motivated through bends, the steering is not shaky and has a decent heft at off-center. Improved balance is achieved by updated suspension geometry. In other words, the McLaren GT is an easy vehicle to drive down a motorway lane and subtle A-road curves.

This, along with the level ride, aids in making this an excellent chassis for long travels and backroad blats. The brakes are made of steel. A significant stopping force is guaranteed with suspension and tire grip.

Details of exterior and interior

For the 2021 model, more than two thirds of parts are new and the plumbing is completely redesigned as opposed to other McLaren vehicles. Even though the body is longer than all other McLaren vehicles, the exterior isn’t rough nor the sound is too loud.

The cabin is very roomy, quiet and poised. The automaker has stuck with the dramatic wing doors but the seats are higher which means it’s not awkward to go inside. There are sports seats with power adjustment. They can be adjusted in more directions than a supercar but less than a German luxo-GT.

Apart from this, the steering column is powered too. The interior trim is beautiful and the switchgear is all metal. Many stitch patterns and materials are customizable. All the components feel expensive and a newly designed infotainment system is introduced. This system includes industry level traffic and mapping details with the usage of strong processors.

There are important shortcut buttons on the vertical touchscreen which adapts to the narrow center console. You can spec a Wilkins hi-fi and a lightweight Bowers. But there are some gaps too: there is no way to know how to switch from a bird view to a permanent 2D map. This is mostly because the menus are not legible enough.

Since the interior is narrow, there is not much room in the center console except for some cupholders, a small net and a tight armrest box. There are no pockets in the wing doors either. The outside view is excellent but not so good backwards which means you will have to use the reverse camera, especially if the rear boot is full. The interior is very airy, when the switchable electrochromic glass roof is on the clear setting.

The boot area is bigger than all the normal GTs but the deepest part is behind the seats. This means that you have to either squeeze behind the flopped forward seats or reach over the bodywork. Moreover, even with the addition of tie-downs and nets, they do not block little objects from jumping forward when you apply the brakes.
