The Porsche 911 Carrera S and 4S were revealed at the 2018 LA Auto Show. The Carrera S and 4S are equipped with a twin turbo 3.0L flat 6 engine which pushes out 443 hp and 390 lb-ft of torque.

Hardly any details were given about the manual transmission when the base Porsche 911 coupe and cabriolet were revealed. So, this comes as a pleasant surprise for the true gearheads and Porsche fans. Sadly, this manual transmission will only be offered with Carrera S and 4S models from the lineup.
You can get your 911 Carrera S or 4S models with a 7-speed manual transmission for the same price. Moreover, all the manual 911s come with the Sports Chrono Package as standard. This package includes PSM Sport Mode, automatic rev-matching, Dynamic Drivetrain mounts and Porsche’s mode switch on its steering wheel.
Porsche claims that the Carrera S with a manual can go from 0-60 mph in around 4 seconds and has a top speed of 190 mph. In comparison, the Carrera S paired with PDK transmission hits 60mph in 3.5 seconds. Carrera S with PDK and Sports Chrono Package makes it to 60 mph in a mere 3.3 seconds with a top speed of 191 mph. This makes the manual transmission a little slower but it’s not about the speed, it’s about the fun, right?
This manual version of the legendary 911 is now available to order in the US, however, the cars will be delivered next year.
