We hate to be the bearer of sombre news but UAE new and used car owners will have to pay a little extra for petrol starting this May. Petrol prices are expected to increase by 10% this month.
In May, the drivers will pay 2.48 per litre for super 98, which is up from 2.23 Dhs from last month. For special 95, the drivers will be paying Dhs 2.34 per litre which is an increase of 23 fils from Dhs 2.11. Diesel is also set to be expensive this month as compared to the last. It is priced at Dhs 2.53 per litre, which is up 4 fils from last month.
The price of super 98 has increased by more than 50 fils per litre from the month of February.
All the prices have the 5% VAT rate included in them.
