Liberty Automobiles, in an official statement on Monday, has decided to end their partnership with General Motors after being their major dealer in the UAE for over four decades. Apart from being a dealer of new and used car services, Liberty Automobiles also provide a host of other extensive car-related services such as original car parts sale centres, vigilant Roadside Assistant services and automotive aftermarket logistics services all under the banner of Liberty Motor Sports (LMS).
After its creation in 1976, has played an important role in the growth of General Motors and has become one of the largest dealers in the region.
After ending their agreement with the GM, Al-Ghandi will now become the official dealer for the Cadillac dealer in UAE and Chevrolet in Sharjah, Ajman, Um Al Quwain and Fujairah. Even though there was no clear reason given for the parting of the ways, the release did mention that the Liberty Automobiles is working to explore different opportunities and working with their partners to formulate their strategy for the next decade.
“For more than 30 years, Al Ghandi Auto has become a leading supplier of automotive and related services in the UAE,” said Buti Saeed Mohammad Al Ghandi, Managing Director of Al Ghandi Auto. “Through this realignment, we are increasing our ability to deliver high-quality products and exceptional services to our customers today and in the years to come,” he added.
Mark Jenkins, the CEO of Al-Ghandi motors remarked that they are excited about this budding opportunity and are confident in providing a high standard of customer experience. He also added that this newly formed association and expansion will help both Al-Ghandi and General Motors to continue to cement their legacy in the region.
Al-Ghandi Auto and Liberty motors have guaranteed that they will work with GM to end their association as seamlessly as possible.
