It carries a 6.4-liter Hemi V8 engine. The last time an off-roader from the company came with a V8 was back in 1981 and the automaker understands that fans have been craving a V8-powered vehicle for a long time. The vehicle in question is the iconic Jeep CJ that housed a 5.0-liter V8 that produced 125 horsepower and 220 lb.-ft. of torque. The 392 HEMI should enable the four-door Wrangler to go from 0-60 mph in less than 5-seconds.
Also, the concept hasn’t really come as a surprise, as rumors about a V8-fueled Wrangler have been doing rounds for quite some time. The company has strongly hinted that the concept will be commercialized soon.

The engine is mated with an eight-speed automatic transmission that manages shifts. The vehicle also features a two-speed transfer case that receives a boost from Dana 44 axles. The back and front will also receive electric lockers.

Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 Concept Exterior and Interior
The concept also flaunts a two-inch lift kit from Mopar. Other notable features include a hood scoop, aluminum Fox shocks, and a switch to change the exhaust sound on the go.
The Wrangler Rubicon 392 Concept sports Granite Crystal exterior paint and the look is complemented by Bronze accentuated tow hooks, springs, and badging. All these things give the vehicle an upscale feel. The concept features custom half-doors and Wrangler Sky One-touch powertop that has removable side panels for open-air freedom. The interior is adorned with Red Rock-colored leather seats.

Needless to say, the Wrangler Rubicon 392 concept sounds pretty exciting and hopefully, it will be turned into a production vehicle by Jeep. Given that the concept was unveiled hours before the official debut of the Ford Bronco, it’s obvious that Jeep is interested in some competition and that’s all the more indication that it is indeed on the way.
