Everyone knows that Jeep’s Wagoneer is a legendary name. After experiencing small changes for 3 decades, Jeep enthusiasts have been demanding a reboot. Now finally, Jeep has introduced the name again on the tailgates of the brand new 2022 Grand Wagoneer and Jeep Wagoneer.
These flagship Jeeps are determined to propel the brand into an upscale territory which is less explored by the brand. It is clearly attacking both the US and the Middle East automotive markets as seen in the white paint job on the previous concept. While the Jeep Grand Wagoneer is only a revised version of the Wagoneer, the former is trying to compete with high-end manufacturers whereas the latter is coming on the regular full-sized vehicles. If you want to sell any car in UAE, CarSwitch should be your number one choice to do it.
Step in the lucrative interior
Both the vehicles have utilized their same authentic wood for raw material which makes the cabin appear as appealing as the interiors of Audi or Range Rover cars. A total of 7 onboard touchscreens are available in the luxurious interior.
In the front passenger area, a Ferrari-esque screen is displayed, 3 screens are at the back, an Android based infotainment which provides over-the-air updates and an Alexa and Amazon Fire TV are the other purposes of screens.
Apart from this, the lavish cabin also includes night vision, Mcintosh sound system, elegant Palermo leather and butcher block style wood trim and 24-way massaging front seats. All of these upscale features and functions are a highlight of the Wagoneer.
The previous Infiniti president who came over the position of Jeep’s global chief in 2019, Christian Meunier, expressed: “We’ve been out of the market for more than 30 years since inventing the premium SUV. We wanted to do it right, get the investment behind it, and make it futuristic, beautiful and modern.”
Remarkable dimensions and space
Just like any other vehicle, Wagoneer puts forth a persuasive promise as the genuine forefather of the world-class, futuristic SUV- where vehicles like Toyota FJ, Ford Bronco and Jeep CJ are off-roaders without offering comfort, the Wagoneer on the other side is particularly designed to be a more sophisticated and civilized family car.
It comes with high ground clearance and a 4-wheel drive to cope with rough terrain and adventurous experiences. In the history of jeeps, this one is the longest and most powerful. It is 215 inches long and has a towing capacity of 10,000 pounds.
This length is 2.5 feet longer than the previous model which makes it a garage stuffing dimension. The wheelbase is 123 inches and curb weight is from 5,960 to 6,420 pounds.
But impressive space is not limited to exterior only because on the inside, class-leading legroom is offered in the 2nd row.
Similarly, competitive headroom and legroom is given in the 3rd row, a regular sized full passenger space of 179 cubic feet and boot area behind the 3rd row. In the Jeep, 7-8 occupants can be seated whereas on the third row, above 6-feet adults can easily sit.
More in-depth look at the exterior
The backbone of the vehicle is based on a boxed high-strength steel which is the framework. It’s body on top of it is attractive, considering the wide proportions. The front consists of the Jeep’s Signature 7-bar grille design with additional liquid chrome glitter rainbow on the Grand Wagoneer.
Another signature detail is the black contrasting roof. Standard tow hooks, advanced driver assistance sensors hidden in the black-mesh lower bumpers and skid plates are given as standard.
An ode to the past is given by the addition of U-shaped windows, tabletop flat roofline and forward leaning grille. A boxy body character line is surrounded on all 360 degrees, with chrome on the top of rear tail lamps and scalloped sides.
Where does all the power come from?
The standard 5.7 liter V8 engine pumps out 392 horses and 404 Nm of torque. It’s powertrain also gives a boost from the latest Stellantis’ eTorque mild hybrid system. This is a belt-driven system which offers 48 volt, 135 Nm, smooth engine stop-start ability for fuel efficiency and regenerative braking system.
