It’s happening again! Mercedes Benz has officially confirmed the release of its fully-electric SUV. With the launch of the Audi E-tron and Chevrolet EV Bolt, it was only a matter of time before we were blessed with this good news as well! Now many people would be more than interested to sell used car in Dubai to buy an electric car with so many options!

The new SUV model introduced by BMW operates with 100 percent capacity and will be launched first in Stockholm, Sweden. Dieter Zetsche, CEO of the company aptly described the launch as the “beginning of the new era”. And we agree as well! The new car is set to become the second most popular model of the Mercedes Benz electric series.

The car joins the Audi E-tron, Chevrolet Bolt EV, Porsche Taycan and Jaguar I-pace in brewing trouble for Tesla as the California based company struggles to achieve the Model 3 targets and earn profits. Mercedes and other brands are moving in to challenge Tesla after its success in wooing buyers with the success of the Model S. Let’s see what the all-electric Mercedes EQ has to offer to rival Tesla!

The All-Electric German Crossover features a big, black roof panel connected to LED headlights. But the panel is not there for the sake of a feature. It is connected to fibre optic lights that light up during nighttime! Excited to buy an electric SUV? Be sure to also check out this fierce 2018 Tesla Model X 100D.

Majority of the crossovers have roof rails so that drivers can bind luggage at the roof, but the EG doesn’t have one as Mercedes left them out to achieve better aerodynamics! The wheels are also light, aerodynamically superior and available in sizes ranging from 19-21 inches.

The interior consists of a three-spoke steering wheel with media controls and a 10.25 inch display with the right one behind the steering wheel acting as the dashboard gauge and the centrally positioned one performing as the media interface.

The power is no joke as well. Working on it for around three years with 90 prototypes, Mercedes- Benz EQ is powered by an electric double motor with a 402 hp and a 700 Nm of torque. The all-wheel drive system and the electric motor gears up the system to go from 0-100 in 5.1 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 180 km/h. Mercedes also claims that the 80 kW lithium battery is capable of travelling up to 320 km in one single charge! When it comes to charging, the EQC is fitted with a in-house water-cooled charger with a capacity of 7.4 KW. Using Mercedes Wallbox, 80 percent of the battery can be charged in about 40 minutes.

The car also comes with a range of smart features including the fastest navigation system using the multimedia system specific of the Mercedes User Experience! Although, its production has been announced, the car is not going to be officially sold until 2020. Until then, you can sell car in Dubai to buy another electric vehicle if you want to!
