The old adage “it’s what inside that counts” rings true for used cars as well. Keeping the interior squeaky clean not only improves the overall look of the car but it also increases its resale value. If you want to maintain value in your used cars for sale, then maintaining the car’s interior must be your top priority! Check out our valuable tips to properly maintain the interior of your car!

  1. Invest in car protection creams: With time, the plastic or vinyl coating of inner car parts gets eroded with daily wear and tear. To prevent further erosion, apply protective creams or autopolish to the car to buff up the car’s appearance. Don’t apply it to the the steering wheels or brakes as those can get slippery.
  2. Take care of the dirty business: The carpets of your car’s matting can collect a lot of dust, grains and stones. It would be very time consuming to pick them up one by one. So, we strongly recommend using a vacuum cleaner to get the dust off rough surfaces properly!
  3. Keep a trash can: This useful bit of advice doesn’t get used enough! Don’t know where to put candy wrappers or used tissue papers? Well, having a trash bin in the car is the perfect solution for this!
  4. Remove the stains: Stains are the nemesis of any car’s appearance. Removing them is a must. There are many kinds of stains, though. So, removing a particular stain calls for a different technique every time.
  5. Leather stains: Leather stains are relatively easy to remove. Use a conventional cleaner and you are good to go!
  6. Coffee stains: A cup of coffee in one hand and a jerky stop in Dubai’s traffic jam and – splash! Dilute coffee stains with cold water immediately and use a wet washcloth to wipe them off. If stains still remain, then use a glass cleaner or a solution of 70% isopropyl alcohol to get rid of them. It works!
  7. Grease stains: Paint thinner works best for removing grease stains. Rub the remaining stains with salt and water until dissolved, then let the vacuum cleaners do the rest.
  8. Gum: For gum stains, put ice cubes in a ziplock bag and freeze the gum. Then, scrape off the hardened gum with a blunt knife.
