The BMW M3 and M4 are symbols. These long-awaited models are undoubtedly two of the most efficient vehicles in the German automaker’s portfolio. Yet, the most recent models might not turn out to be the presentation vehicles we are used to seeing – regardless. Engineers and designers adopted a strong new strategy in making the BMW M3 and M4 2021, presently the most attractive cars in the market.

Carswitch.com, an online marketplace for used cars in dubai, did some research to share the details with you. Let’s have a look at what the new models have to offer.

Design

The grilles that both new M3 and M4 features are thought to be the biggest talking point of the model. The massive grilles are located at the front and the center of the car, with a new twin-turbocharged located behind the grills, which is capable of producing 473 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque.

The powerful engine of the car allows a 0-60 mph acceleration in just 4 seconds. This combined with innovative technology, lavish-looking cabin, and some exciting features is what makes M3 and M4 makes so special.

Both models feature a carbon-fiber roof or an optional, a no-cost, optional moonroof – M-specific side and front splitters, and durable wheels. Both the models also come with an M Carbon package (optional), that includes an innovative rear diffuser and wide front air intake, rear spoiler, and a Shadowline option that drapes exterior mirrors with mirror caps made from CFRP.

As for the wheels, both models feature updated M light-alloy wheel design with 20-inch rear wheels and 19-inch front wheels. Furthermore, the models also offer optional, additional M brakes that come in black, red or blue color.

The interior design of the models follows that of the latest BMW 3 series and 4 series, and have been said to be taken to the sporting extreme. As expected, both the models include the standard design feature, interior trim strips in Carbon fiber high-gloss and an anthracite-colored BMW Individual headliner. Other standard features include electrically heated and adjusted M sport seats and fine-grain Merino black leather trim.

Powertrain

Both the M3 and M4 come with a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-six motor TwinPower Turbo petrol engine that produces 353kW/550Nm in entry-level guise. The ‘S58’ engine that these cars feature is all “new”, as compared to the M3/M4 duo’s ‘S55’ turbo-six. It comes with a ‘flow-optimized air intake system’ and direct injection.

According to the manufacturers, for both ‘entry-level’ M3 and M4 models, a 0-100km/h sprint in 4.1 seconds, and a 0-200km/h dash in 13.7 seconds.

Moving on, both the models come with oil and water-cooling systems that have been included to compensate for the high temperature of track use. Adequate flow of air to the high-temperature and low-temperature radiators in the upper part of the grille opening, is ensured through the large front intakes. Whereas, the engine oil cooler is supported with the lower area air flow. A separate transmission oil cooler is offered in the Competition models.

Moving on, the M3 and M4 come with three ‘M Mode’ presets, that are Track, Road and Sport. All three come with their own alterations in chassis and engine setting, stability control, steering response, and the braking feel.

Each setting can be altered by the driver by pressing the ‘setup’ button located by the side of the gear selector. It is also possible to alter heads-up display and digital instrument cluster based on the drive mode selected.

The ‘M Drive Professional’ programming system debuts on the new M3 and M4, comprising a couple of features that have been included specifically for track driving, featured by the ‘M Traction Control’ framework that comes with up to 10 modes to change the level of the stability control.
