The AMG A35 sedan is the big brother of the A35 hatchback and takes on some of its best qualities. At its core, it has the same 2.0L turbocharged inline-4 engine. It cranks out a decent 302 hp and 400 Nm of torque. It is mated with a 7-speed dual clutch gearbox for ideal shifts.
With a variable 4Matic+ all wheel drive, it can go from 0-60 mph in 4.7 seconds. It’s all-wheel drive system also allows it to distribute power evenly on front and rear axles. Ofcourse, it’s a good mix of power, performance and practicality but gearheads looking for a sportier option might want to wait for the 2020 AMG GT R Roadster.
Drivers of this car can choose from five different driving modes: Comfort, Sport, Sport+, Individual and Slippery. The ‘Slippery’ mode is a recent addition which reduces torque and power to cater to low-grip road conditions. On the other hand, the ‘Individual’ mode allows the driver to adjust settings and save them as a personal driving mode.
The new A35 AMG also gets AMG design inside out. It gets style modifications with a refreshed bumper grille, larger air intakes on the front, a small rear spoiler and LED headlamps. Additionally, it also gets LED tail lights which brighten up the boot. An optional aerodynamics package is also available.
Moreover, this stylish sedan has more headroom and legroom. The headroom is 37.16 inches which is not only the best in class but also 0.8 inches more than its closest competitor, Audi S3.
Inside, it has sporty seats with a combination of leather and microfiber. The cabin is lit with ambient lighting in 64 colors. Furthermore, the 2020 Mercedes AMG A35 has a digital cockpit with latest MBUX infotainment system as standard.
