The Volkswagen Teramont is a wide, flat-floored three-row SUV with genuine adult space in the third row, and used it is one of the cheapest ways to move seven people in comfort. We have 16 used Teramonts listed.
What to inspect on a used Volkswagen Teramont
Read the gearbox and suspension sections of the CarSwitch report before you talk money on any Teramont in our UAE listings.
Our closed UAE sales put a 2024 Teramont at an average of AED 143,000 and a 2021 at AED 62,000, around 37% below a new Teramont today. Live asking prices run from AED 45,500 for a late-2010s example up to AED 150,000 for a current one.
Better than the class on the two things expensive to fix properly. An electrical or electronics fault shows on 4% of the Volkswagen Teramonts we inspect in the UAE, against the 9% we would expect for SUVs of the same age and mileage here, and interior staining on 11% against the 23% expected across that group. At a median 80,000 km, the checks that matter are the gearbox and the suspension.
The Jeep Grand Cherokee is similar money with more presence and a third row nobody over twelve will thank you for. The Nissan X-Trail is cheaper to buy and to run, and holds about 54%, so it is the better financial car — but its rearmost seats are for children only. The Teramont is what you buy when seven adults have to fit.
2021 to 2023. The Teramont arrived here for 2018 and was facelifted for 2021 with a new front end, a redesigned cabin and updated driver assistance. Both the turbocharged four and the larger six-cylinder are around; the six is the one for a fully loaded car.
Not well, and that is exactly why it is worth buying used: a UAE Teramont keeps about 37% of its value after five years against roughly 45% for comparable SUVs of the same age. The first owner absorbed that drop; you get the space for the money. If you want the value back at the end, the Toyota Prado holds about 63% and costs accordingly.
