Our UAE sales put a 2024 ASX at about AED 49,000, a 2022 at AED 41,000, a 2017 at AED 22,000 and a 2015 at AED 19,000. A used ASX costs about 41% less than the new equivalent. Live asking prices run from AED 19,250 for a late-2010s car up to AED 55,500 for a recent one.

Longer than almost anything else at the price. The ASXs we inspect in the UAE reach a median of about 93,000 km, and no fault category stands out against what we would expect for small SUVs of the same age and mileage in the country — not the engine, not the CVT, not the electrics. A long production run on simple, unstressed mechanicals is why.

The Nissan Kicks costs similar money and is newer in design, though 59% of the ones we inspect carry prior body or panel repair against the 53% expected for its age and mileage group. The CR-V is bigger and better equipped at a higher price and weaker retention. Within Mitsubishi, the Xpander is dearer with seven seats.

2017 to 2021, and the reason is unusual. The ASX launched in 2010 and ran for over a decade on the same platform and naturally aspirated engines, with facelifts in 2013, 2017 and 2020 rather than a generation change. So an older car is not a mechanically inferior one, and the 2017 facelift brought the updates worth having.

Better than its class — about 60% of its value after five years, against roughly 55% for UAE small SUVs and 56% across used Mitsubishis. It is the strongest of the mainstream options here, ahead of the Honda CR-V at about 49% and the Chevrolet Captiva at about 41%.
